    1. Exercise

    Exercise is by far one of my favorite natural stress remedies. Not only does it allow you to get fresh air and clear your mind, but the science shows exercise lowers a stress hormone called cortisol. The more cortisol you have in your body the more stressed you will feel.

    Furthermore, exercise releases endorphins into the body which are natural chemicals that act as a painkiller to improve mood. Studies show people who exercise regularly are less likely to experience stress and depression.

    I know you are probably busy with work, family, and other obligations. Whether it’s 15 minutes of walking around a city or park or an hour of heavyweight training, get out and get your movement in. I promise you will feel calmer and more focused when you are finished.

    2. Supplements

    Supplements are another one of my favorite natural stress remedies. I find it helps my clients and I stay calm and relaxed during the most anxiety-provoking times.     When you feel the anxiety setting in, try to be mindful of the way you are breathing. Slow your breathing down by deliberately taking deep breaths. This will help reduce anxiety by restoring normal breathing patterns.
