Whether you are looking to lose weight, gain muscle, or boost your overall health, the key is to stay consistent so you get the results you are looking for.

1. Plan Meals Regularly

2. Eat At Home
Eating at home goes hand in hand with planning meals. Often, restaurants fill their dishes with lots of butter, oils, salts, and other ingredients to boost the taste. If you are trying to watch your weight eating at home is the best way to control what goes into your food.
Of course, this doesn’t mean never go out to eat, everything in moderation. But when you do venture out try opting for healthier options like a salad with lean protein or grilled protein with vegetables. If you are trying to watch your weight watch out for heavy dressing and sauces as they oftentimes contain lots of calories, fats, and sodium.
3. Eat The Rainbow
No matter your health & wellness goals, getting the proper nutrients is crucial for achieving them.
When I say eat the rainbow I mean eat lots of fruits and vegetables of all different colors. Plants get their colors from their different pigments (phytonutrients). Each color plant is linked to certain levels of specific nutrients.
Taking supplements is another great way to make sure you are taking the proper nutrients to active your wellness goals. If you are looking to increase your immune response or support your skin health try taking a supplement that has the specific nutrients to do that.
4. Practice Mindfulness
Mindful eating is a technique that gives you control over your eating habits by focusing all your attention on your food and the experience of eating. The goal is to be present to enjoy your food and understand why you are eating. Is it because your hungry? Maybe it’s because you’re stressed, lonely, sad, or bored.
Try keeping a food journal to track your feelings about food. This can help you pinpoint and thus change your relationship with food depending on your goals.
Some studies show that eating mindfully can actually promote weight loss, reduce binge eating, and help you feel better about your relationship with food.
5. Eat Protein In Every Meal & Snack
Adequate protein is critical for everyday health as it helps the body repair its tendons, joints, muscles and skin. Moreover, protein slows down the absorption of the sugar you eat, stabilizing blood sugar.
Furthermore, protein will also keep you feeling full, longer. If you are one of those people that always finds them selves hungry, try incorporating more protein into your meals and snacks. It takes the body longer to break down leaving you satisfied longer.
