Recent studies show CBD can help reverse signs of aging skin. Before we dig into the anti-aging benefits of CBD, we must first address why skin wrinkles and ages over time.

What causes the skin to age

After the age of 20, the skin produces 1% less collagen every year due to free radical damage on the structures and functions of molecules, cells, and organs in the body. Simtenlously, the body gradually stops producing natural oils. As a result, the skin loses moisture, elastin, and firmness. Over time, this diminishment causes the skin to become more delicate, thin and decreases the skin’s natural healing capabilities. Paving the way for deep lines, aging and dull skin.

Stress also plays a big roll in aging. Research shows that stress can cause premature wrinkles and skin damage. When stress levels rise, a hormone called cortisol is released in the body. The more stressed you are, the more cortisol is released. Cortisol breaks down the collagen in your skin, causing the skin to age at a faster rate than normal.

Benefits of CBD For Anti-Aging

Studies show CBD’s antioxidant and neuro-protective properties could combat and prevent the signs of aging. Antioxidants, when ingested in the body, counteract free-radical damage and prevent inflammation. This drastically slows collagen break down and loss, resulting in less fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, redness and other impurities that come with aging skin. CBD also promotes natural oil production. In both the short and long term, this keeps the skin moisturized and refreshed so it looks plump and youthful.

Furthermore, CBD indirectly slows the aging process as it has been known to decrease stress and anxiety. As stress levels plummet so does the amount of cortisol released in the body. A low-stress life can preserve the skin, improving its longevity.

Don’t just take our word for it, The National Institute of Health has a patent on CBD in regard to its benefits for anti-aging of the skin and other age-related diseases. They conducted various clinical trials and cited “Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases” (1).

Consistency is key

In order to see the effects of CBD on anti-aging, it is important to continuously ingest CBD over a long period of time. The biggest contributing factor to aging skin is free radical damage and the diminishing production of collagen in the body. CBD, over a long period of time, can drastically slow down these processes, preserving the skin.

Not all CBD is created equal

In order to maximize its anti-aging benefits, one must use high-quality CBD products. Priscotty Pure’s CBD is made from organically grown hemp and goes through a proprietary nano-emulsification process that allows the body to better absorb the CBD. As a result, studies show it is 10x more effective than any other CBD product on the market! Which means….. A BRIGHTER YOUTHFUL GLOW!!!

      Hi Duane,

We recommend taking our CBD Powder for 2-3 months to see the best results. Some of our customers say they notice a difference after 2-3 weeks.
