    Whether you are a bodybuilder lifting heavy weights or go on a 30-minute walk a couple of times a week, we all get sore, fatigued muscles from exercise. It’s not the end of the world but there are certain things you can do to recover quicker, allowing you to return to your exercise routine.

    Why Do You Get Sore After A Workout?

    The reason you get sore is that working out causes microscopic damage to muscle fibers. Those muscles then become inflamed, triggering the body to respond and repair. This natural bodily process that triggers inflammation allows the muscle to grow but unfortunately causes muscle soreness and stiffness.

    How Can I Combat This Inflammation?

    CBD (cannabidiol) is a great way to combat inflammation, reducing the soreness after a session of exercise. Research suggests that CBD interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid receptors to combat both chronic and acute inflammation.

    I personally take CBD after working out. I find it helps me to recover quicker, allowing me to get back into the gym sooner.

    CBD, short for cannabidiol is a naturally occurring compound found in Hemp plan. It is one of 113 cannabinoids. It interacts directly with the body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS). Furthermore, CBD is non-habit-forming and will not get you high.
